Who Said Liberals Are Better at Upholding the Constitution?

Well if it were the JFK airport that was declared 'constitutiona free' I'm sure there would be outrage, in fact, there has been out rage when there have been instances where people have lost their constitutional rights..
I'm no fan or religous extremists, as far as I'm concerned (and anyone should be for that matter) people can live however they want provided they don't negatively affect someone elses life in a manner which can be quantified *within reason*.
So I don't see whats wrong with religous extremists protesting gays, they can take care of themselves and if it comes to violence then those religous extremists can get locked up. yet here we are, denying the constitution when it's convenient, and worse, getting support for it from the same people who dare to criticize George Bush for not upholding the constitution.
Believe it or not it isn't a matter of convenience that you agree with the issue or don't. The constitution gives a right to free speach. Declaring an area 'constitution free', a public area no less, is akin to declaring Guantanmo Bay constitution free, wheres the justice and fairness in that?
This is not an isolated incident, sometime ago a school took students to gay seminars without parents consent gagging the 14 year olds from telling their parents. Some people backed it up saying 'oh gee, they're secretly teaching tolerance'. I beg to differ, should your kids be taken to far right wing seminars would it be any different? Just a switcharoo in perspectives and it's all the same.
Just because you agree with something does not give you the right to break the constitution or law. It isn't a matter of convenience since the constitution has been set above all things, if you at all ignore it then you are showing that you don't truly believe in the constitution and are simply looking for a way to achieve your own political ends.
If you have to break it then you break it, if you can hypocrtically point at someone else for breaking it you go ahead. In the end it isn't about the constitution, it's about meeting your own end which relegates the constitution to being nothing more than a piece of paper and excuse.
