The Difference Between Sunni and Shia

The difference between Sunni and Shia is something that has been debated in length for the past few years. Let me just put your hearts at ease and answer it right here right now. The real difference between Sunnis and Shias is that Sunnis are Muslims and Shias aren't.
Oh no, there I go on my hate tirade, but the fact of the matter is they refuse to acknowledge Muhammed was the last messenger of God and instead say it was Ali which in itself voids someone of their belief in Islam.
Furthermore they go against many of Islam’s core teachings, in fact they have more in common with early forms of Christianity than they do with Islam. For instance they beat and cut themselves so that they may feel the pain of Ali This is probably taken right out of the same early Christian sect that did the same to feel the pain of Jesus. I recall reading about Shia having its roots in Christianity though I'm not going to push this any further as I don't have the source material with me. I did however find this picture online, in the Philippines some Christians still practice self abuse,
They curse Muhammeds wives calling them whores, they insult the greatest figures in early Islam they say Muhammed created some sort of sorcery to trick god or in some other stories the angel Gabriel to go to him instead of Ali.
They worship Ali's grave and the grave of other people while Islam teaches that worshiping anything other than god is a deadly sin.
Historically they have a habit of screwing Muslims over, only because Muslims treat them as if they are Muslims. Rather stupidly in fact. One of the greatest disasters in Islamic history, where Genghis Khan's army made it to Baghdad and killed four million people overnight, occurred because the sultans advisor, a shia, instructed him to move the army out of the city. When the enemy army invaded the advisor deflected to the enemy army.
I don't appreciate it when they are treated as if they are Muslims, they aren't because they break Islamic law. The mere fact they refuse to acknowledge Muhammed is the last messenger of god is enough but they do a lot more than that which rubs off negatively on Islam since people insist on calling them a sect of Islam or in some way relating them to Muslims.
It's just so sad they dress like Muslims which seems to automatically make them Muslims.

Any form of self inflicted pain or injury that goes without reason (worship is not a reason).
Besides, the rason they cut themselves is to 'feel the pain of Ali', it is another one of their ceremonies in which they basically worship him.
Does the quran not say that if you worship anyone but God then you're comitting a deadly sin? I don't know, perhaps you'll comeback and say 'thats not worship!', though thats just your words, they bow down, they beat themselves chanting about Ali, thats worship.
I could still contest you on your claims that it's 'minor', beating yourself with chains until your back goes raw, slitting your head so that you lose excessive amounts of blood, I mean sure they'll live through it, it just doesn't make it 'minor'.
