Terrorists Are Planning Six 9/11 Scale Attacks Every Year Against the US

July 10th 2007 07:20
Or so they say, should the Americans close up the borders? Declare a national state of emergency and hand over what little rights they have to a democratically elected dictator?

Well it isn't true, no ones planning anything, though 18000 Americans die every year due to a lack of healthcare. Just over 3000 people died on 9/11, so 18000 a year is roughly six 9/11's every year. Why don't they instead start putting more money into the healthcare system? They don't need to lose any of their rights, they can feel safe in knowing if they get hurt they can be taken care of by their healthcare system.

Then again, facts aren't as convincing as the threat of a wannabe terrorist who sets a car on fire hoping it explodes (some how).

Ahmed,

Would I be right in thinking you don't like America? Just asking.

You'd be very much mistaken, I'm merely stating fact, fact is if the US could fix its broken political system instead of busily away fighting an enemy they don't even know exists they could do a lot more good to themselves and the rest of the world.

Thats fact, and if that comes across as hating america in your eyes then your world view is very limited.

Ahmed, I wasn't taking a world view, just an Ahmed view and I did leave the results open.

I'm not sure I agree with you but I do see your point of view, no-one likes war and the enemy is difficult to pinpoint but 9/11 did happen and what would have happened if America had taken no action at all?

I think many Americans agreed with their leaders at the time, it was a shocking experience. We would not want a repeat but there have been a number of incidents and we do have to do whatever we can to prevent others.

Potentially we're looking at a lot of deaths but I realize your opinion is different and you're entitled to it.

But I think you'd win more friends with effective persuasion than by immeasurable statistics unrelated to the matter in hand.

And with that, too, I'm sure you'll disagree. Others will understand my meaning quite well.

Let's just agree to differ but at least I did respond.

The question isn't, what would have happened if America didn't take action, it's what would have happened if America got its shits together and took appropriate action.

Now, the whole point of a democracy is to help people live better, that is actually the point of organized government. The problem with the US is that it's organized government has been infiltrated by corporations who profit from war, death and destruction. Theres good reason why companies like Haliburton like war, they make money from it, especially when they have people on the inside of government working for them (like Dick Cheney).

People ar ruled by fear, the question is, what are they afraid of? Terrorists or suffering? Terrorists are next to non-existant, statistically they are a complete non-issue, yet people are afraid of them. If you try to lower speed limits to reduce road deaths, something in much higher occurence than terrorist attacks, peoplew ill revolt, claiming it is taking away their freedoms. Though with terrorists, taking out laws which turn countries into police states is fine, because it preserves freedom and safety. Or so people are made to believe through fear.

My question is, what freedom is there left when you've all but surrendered it to your government and what safety do you have that your country is at war with an enemy no one seems to understand? What makes it worse is that war creates enemies, not the opposite, a loss of civil liberties creates terrorists, which is exactly what war brings to countries. Of course poverty and death add to it.

Now, put it side by side, if America never went into Iraq more people would be alive today than not, more people would be better off today than not. Take it even further and say the US Government started putting its people first instead of heartless corporations and we'd seeless deaths in the US all up.

The statistics are related, unfortunately a death is a death, on the road or from illness or a bomb, and that is what I'mc omparing. People die needlessly so because the US government has been bought and paid for by various corporations who find it in their best interest to create war.

I believe we are fighting an enemy that was initially engineered by 'our side'. Now that many more attrocities have happened, in the name of peace and democracy, we have turned people who would not have done anything violent before, into monsters.

And yes, I am cynical enough to believe that is exactly what big corporations want, because they do make their profits out of war. To think otherwise is just being naive.

Also, I urge everyone who wants to take a closer look at the events of 911 to watch "911:In Plane Site".

This doco literally blows the cover off what must be the greatest con job ever perpetrated against the euphemistically titled 'free world'.

We have been conned....and by our own governments!

This is NOT fiction....get the doco and see for yourselves! I can rent one from my local video store, ask yours to get it in. Or, go on the net and buy it, it will be worth it so you can see a first hand exammination of the film shot that day.

A little teaser to get you interested...the airliners that hit the towers were not commercial aircraft, they did not have windows! The "plane" that hit the Pentagon left a hole just 16 feet in diameter....and completely disappeared!! No airliner wreckage!! How does a 757 commercial jet manage to do that little trick?

oh, there was one bit of wreckage, a rotor, trouble is, it was far too small . It is seen to be about the height of a fireman's knee, the 757 jet engines, all four of them, are about nine to ten feet in diameter!

When shown a photo of the rotor at the Pentagon, the Rolls Royce rep, (from aeroplane engine industry side), could not recognize it.

Eventually someone did recognize it. It was the engine of a guided missile...which fitted in with eye witnesses' statements of what they saw hit the Pentagon that day.

As they say in The States...'have a nice day'...shudder!!

Mountain Fog, you say that you " believe we are fighting an enemy that was initially engineered by 'our side'." Ever heard of Said Qutb? I think you will find he is the "engineer" of the ideology we are fighting.

Ever heard of the CIA? I think they funded Osama Bin Laden's war against the Russians.

If he's trained to fire a gun it was with the money of the united states.

No SCARton,
never heard of a dude called...(forgot now, as I can't see what it was you wrote while I'm replying)..anyhoo...THAT guy...never heard of him! But what Ahmed said is true, the CIA did train Bin Laden and Al Quida...(spelling?)

However, I do imagine there was someone much before the present who came up with the anti-West stance and used the Koran in a perversion of its original intention, and I can understand, yet not agree with their methods, as to why they hate us.

One just has to read history, that is history not propaganda, to see the origins of discontent forming after WW1, when T.E.Lawrence's promise to the Arabs (on behalf of the British High Command) was broken by the British Government and the French et al. After the war, the locals were denied their fair recompense for helping the West to win WW1. Their recompense was supposed to be sovereignty over their nomadic lands and release from colonial rule. Eventually some areas were divided up, after much conflict, but it was the start of manipulation and influence that was not in the best interests of the Arabs. Then oil was discovered!

You see, although I can't stand these current maniacs and their slaughter of innocent people, I must stand back and examine the reasons why this came about, in order to arrive at a sane and sustainable solution, which is also a reflection of the justice system we all apparently hold so dear.

In a nutshell, we the West, have continually ripped off the Arabs and others in the region for access to their oil. To effect this, instead of a humane and legal approach, we have supported despotic regimes and waged wars whose 'just' causes, for initiating, are spurious at most...remember the WMD's???

If we want to solve this terror problem, we MUST start by addressing the sins we have committed against them, and make amends; economic, legal and social. This will garner the public's respect and eventually the support for the "jihad" or whatever, will diminish. What is left of the rabid killers, will be wiped out by their own people.

We must remember, the Arabs and others of the MIddle East, (Persians, Ottamans etc) once had mighty civilisations while, what there was of the West, was still barbaric rabble. The people of the Middle East remember, and yet we treat/think of them as if they are, and always have been, ignorant backward people. The peoples of the Middle East brought us our numeral system, incredible architecture, intricate geometric design etc. They are not a bunch of illiterate "ragheads" that deserve to be indiscriminately bombed.

NO ONE DESERVES THAT!!

Put it this way...study as much history as you can, then make up your mind. We cannot afford to be led by the sensationalised press/media of today, whom all seem to have agendas other than fairness and truth!

Suggested reading; "The Seven Pillars of Wisdom", by T.E.Lawrence
(He was also known as 'Lawrence of Arabia')
