Ron Paul Is Against Human Embryonic Stem Cell Research
May 21st 2007 04:54
Despite many claiming he simply voted against making the government fund embryonic stem cell research he has also voted no to allowing it at all in a seperate bill.
The vote tally for the Stem Cell Research Enhancement Act shows that Ron voted no.
It is also true he voted against allowing government to fund it.

Well, if this [Secretary] they speak of, is the only one allowed to conduct and support [by allowing] research, then good for Ron Paul. No one person should be in control of who gets to do research and who doesn't. And that is what this bill is stating.
"`(d) Reporting Requirements- The Secretary shall annually prepare and submit to the appropriate committees of the Congress a report describing the activities carried out under this section during the preceding fiscal year, and including a description of whether and to what extent research under subsection (a) has been conducted in accordance with this section.'."
Bigger government and more bureaucrats. Exactly what he's against.

That's the best way to get things done-- look at how much better the American Red Cross is at helping victims than FEMA is.
