Is Ron Paul a Libertarian Or Does He Just Make Shit Up As He Goes Along?
November 17th 2007 12:13
Like all good politicians this man knows how to twist things in his favor, albeit a little lesser than his competition. If you check out this mans voting records you'll find he isn't all that libertarian with very pro-Religous ideologies, pro-some big business (is for subsidizing oil companies). But don't take my word for it, see his voting records for yourself:
Supports a Constitutional Amendment for school prayer. (May 1997)
Voted NO on criminalizing oil cartels like OPEC. (May 2007)
Voted NO on removing oil & gas exploration subsidies. (Jan 2007)
Voted YES on banning gay adoptions in DC. (Jul 1999)
Rated 0% by NARAL, indicating a pro-life voting record. (Dec 2003)

It would seem that while he is pro-liberties, a lot of them at that, he has a few dirty little secrets that show he isn't all that consistant with his views.
