What does the current US government and Nazis have in common? Torture. The Nazis called it 'enhanced interrogation techniques' the US government at present calls it 'interrogation techniques' (I'd hate to know what enhanced interrogation techniques are under the US government).

Clearly the fact that the US government is in the right and efveryone else is evil it means that the US has a right to torture prisoners. After all, they are terrorists, they don't deserve compassion, we'll torture them, even if were not sure they're terrorists, it will be worth it if he was a terrorist, better safe than sorry after all.
As time went on, historians have found that all the bureaucratic restrictions were eventually broken or abridged. Once you start torturing, it has a life of its own.
